EUSD is committed to ensuring that we are the district of choice for the children of Escondido. As defined in the EUSD Framework for the Future, we have embraced elements of a learner-centered model that promises to be filled with innovative programming for our students. Professionals from all corners of the district continue to work collaboratively to lay the foundation for this framework, which sets up EUSD students to actualize their unlimited potential. EUSD continues to offer unique and exciting learning experiences for all of our students, and we are committed to providing real-world learning opportunities that support our students as they develop the skills outlined in our EUSD Learner Profile.

Your input and feedback are critical to our success at Escondido USD. We are sharing a survey with you that helps us measure the impact of these programs and initiatives towards meeting our goals.  We ask that you complete this feedback survey by May 30 to provide us with invaluable feedback that we will use to determine our next steps in our journey to actualize the unlimited potential of every learner.

This week marks the start of Classified School Employee Week, a special opportunity to recognize the individuals who work in essential, often unseen roles across the district.

What is a “classified” school employee? In the simplest terms, it’s any employee who does not have a teaching credential. Classified employees are an important part of the education community. They support and nurture our students, families, and colleagues in countless ways – as paraeducators, librarians, technology specialists, clerks, administrative assistants, office managers, family liaisons, nutrition assistants, landscapers, tutors, electricians, payroll technicians, human resources assistants, and many more. They are on the frontlines and behind the scenes, and our district could not function without them. Please join me in celebrating this special group of education professionals!

On Thursday, May 15, in our district courtyard, EUSD took time to celebrate our 20 and 30-year employees, our retirees, and to congratulate our employees of the year, both at the site and district levels. In addition, Mr. Julio Lopez was named our Administrator of the Year.  EUSD is full of dedicated employees who are shining examples of what makes our district such a special place for the children and families of Escondido. We congratulate all of our honorees for achieving these exciting milestones.

Here are this week’s updates and reminders:
