Meet the Principal
Dr. Carmen Madrigal
Dear Oak Hill Community,
Welcome back to the new school year at Oak Hill Elementary School! My name is Dr. Carmen Madrigal and I look forward to another year partnering with our Otter Community! I am excited about the work that we continue doing around attendance, academic achievement, and social emotional learning. Through the implementation of strong Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) and the promotion of a Learner-Centered Culture, our students are provided an environment where they can thrive as individuals.
My previous experience includes being a principal of an elementary school with a school-wide Dual Language Immersion Program, an Assistant Principal, a Teacher on Special Assignment (literacy, after school program, English Learners), and a teacher of students in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade. Overall, I have been in education for over 20 years and possess an Ed.D. in School Leadership with an emphasis on Educational Psychology from USC, a B.A. in Liberal Studies, and an M.S. in Educational Leadership both from Cal State Fullerton. I believe we can foster a love of learning in our students and with hard work they can achieve great things!
Throughout the year, exciting things happen in our classrooms and on our campus. We encourage you to get involved by joining our Parent Groups (ELAC, SSC, PTA), volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your child’s education. Whether you are a first-time visitor or already a member of our community we are happy you have chosen to join our Otter Family.
Thank you for choosing Oak Hill Elementary School and giving us an opportunity to work with your children each day. Please reach out if we can be of assistance. We are here to help you, and most importantly, we are here to help your child thrive both academically and social emotionally.
Sincerely,
Dr. Carmen Madrigal
